It all started with a young man's vision to set up a manufacturing unit for lighting fixtures way back in 1974. Our founder Mr. Moiz Burhani started out with a small factory in Mumbai and was instrumental in taking the business to newer heights for 3 decades. The journey of close to half a millennium has been both inspiring and one filled with immense experiences.
Under the stewardship of our founder we continued to grow and in 1990 a new much larger factory was built to accommodate the growing demands and needs of the industry. With better machines and larger infrastructure, the focus shifted on large scale manufacturing to cater to the needs of the OEM sector. This was the period when we became one of the leading OEM players in the industry. More product verticals were added thereby producing fixtures as well as control gears. This was also the time when we executed our first international order paving way for greater heights.
A new zeal of energy was added to the organization after a new generation of entrepreneurs joined the business. A slew of new machines and automations were added to the existing factories and a complete revamp of product offering was done thereby starting the shift from conventional light source to modern light. A larger and more younger team got added, continuing the journey of new thinking with old experience.
The year of 2008 was defining for the organization, it is in this year where the new younger generation along with the team decided to stop producing fixtures as OEM and started developing specification grade fixtures for projects. This is also the time when LED technology became more viable for the industry and we were the earlier ones to adapt swiftly.
Keeping to our growth promise, we started executing large projects in various geographies. This also marked our entry into international manufacturing where we went ahead and setup our own manufacturing unit in China adding strength to our existing production and innovation capabilities. With a global vision, this was a step in the direction of new learnings and acquisitions. The combined strength of these 2 factories in two of the world's largest production hubs put us in a unique position to achieve exponential growth in the coming years. This is also the time where we invested further in testing equipment and laboratory to ensure the development of LED technology is further solidified and R&D as a core value continues to excel.
With a global outlook we started our international offices in Dubai and UK, in order to effectively cater to international projects & business in various parts of the world. A strong focus towards product development along with close association with our product designers in Hamburg, Germany we were able to create a wide product offering.
